I am Dr. Roman Sadikoff, a proud 1997 graduate of University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Following a year of residency at the Medical College of Ohio and several associateships, I established a private practice in Chesterfield, Michigan in 2003.
I am an avid believer in airway-centric dentistry and orthodontics. That means that, at the very first appointment with a new patient, whether adult or pediatric, I assess their nasal breathing. Compromised nasal breathing can lead to problems like snoring, clenching, grinding, jaw pain, headaches, and, most importantly, obstructed sleep apnea. In children, it will delay not only the skeletal but also cognitive development. Snoring, bed wetting, and ADHD-like symptoms are prevalent in children with mouth breathing, especially at night.
