Clinton Dental Center Celebrates International Patient Safety Day
September 17th is International Patient Safety Day! Does this mean we throw caution to the wind the other 364 days of the year? Of course not! On Patient Safety Day, we reaffirm our commitment to delivering best-in-care safety standards year round.
Our Commitment to Safety
Safety at the dental office is imperative! Everyone on the Clinton Dental Center team is well trained in providing safe dental care. Here are some of the precautions we take for our patients:
Protective Gear — Dental visits are sensitive operations. Having someone else look around inside your mouth is bound to make you feel vulnerable. This is why all of our dentists wear personal protective equipment such as medical masks, gloves, and aprons during visits. All of our protective gear helps prevent the spread of germs during these procedures.
Sanitization — Safety doesn’t end with rubber gloves and medical masks. Preventing the spread of germs requires cleaning all our equipment with medical-grade sanitizer, including the dental tools, counters, and chairs. In addition to wiping down patient rooms between visits, PPE is always properly disposed of before seeing our next patient.
Steady Pace — Whether it’s a routine cleaning, a filling, a tooth extraction, or any other treatment, we are never rushed. Safety and proper care require taking the time necessary to do things properly, so you can rest assured knowing that we’re always taking the time to keep you comfortable.
Constant Learning — We don’t cling to the outdated standards of ten years ago. Real safety requires keeping up with the latest standards. Whenever new findings and information come out, you can be sure we will properly instruct and train our team!
